General Return Policy: Specific return policies are listed below. For all other purchases, the customer has 10 days from the time of delivery to inspect their purchase for damage or defects. If damage or defects are found, the manufacturer will repair it or replace it at the manufacturer's discretion, for free.
To return a purchase for reasons other than damage or defects, the customer must call us within 10 days of delivery for a Return Authorization Release Form. After returning this form, we will give the customer a Return Authorization Number. The customer is responsible for the return shipping charges, the outbound freight charge, and a 15% restocking fee.
If the original box can no longer be used for returns, a new one can be purchased from us for the cost of the box and shipping. After the manufacturer has received the return in like-new condition, we will refund the purchase price of the item less the outbound freight charge and restocking fee.
General Cancellation Policy: Orders canceled after they have been shipped will be assessed shipping charges both ways and a 15% restocking fee.
Product Specific Return & Cancellation Policies
Adjustable Bed Returns: Adjustable beds are subject to a $250 charge for in-home setup, a $250 charge for in-home reboxing, a $250 charge for outbound shipping, and a $250 charge return shipping in addition to the standard return policy above. Any mattress that has been used is non-returnable.
Bath Lift Returns: Bath lifts cannot be returned as they make direct contact with a person's skin. Repairs are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Bed Linens: Bed linens are custom made and cannot be returned.
Dumbwaiter Returns: Dumbwaiters are custom made for every order therefore we cannot accept any returns. Canceled orders are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
Dumbwaiter Cancellations: Dumbwaiters that have not been built can be cancelled subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
Furniture Returns: Returns are not accepted on massage chairs or swing recliners.
Lift Chair Returns: Lift chairs that are ordered in stock configurations are subject to the 10 day return period listed above. "Built Chairs", which are any lift chairs that have upgraded or crossover fabrics, non-standard options, or Leather Lift Chairs, are non-returnable.
Manual Wheelchair Returns: Stocked wheelchairs are subject to the standard return policy listed at the top of this page. Custom built wheelchairs, which are built for the customer at the time of their order, are non-returnable. Certain custom built wheelchairs are returnable minus freight costs and a 15% restocking fee. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis between us and the manufacturer.
Massage Chair Returns: Massage chairs cannot be returned. Repairs are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Mobility Lift & Trailer Returns: Mobility lifts that have been installed on a vehicle cannot be returned.
Mobility Lift & Trailer Cancellations: Trailer cancellations are subject to a $250 cancellation fee.
Overlay Returns: Overlays make direct contact with a person's skin and therefore cannot be returned.
Parts Returns: Returns are not accepted on parts. No exceptions.
Pool Lift Returns: Aqua Creek pool lifts must be returned within 30 days of delivery. All returns are minus freight costs both ways and a 15% restocking fee.
Power Wheelchair Returns: The outbound freight charge for power wheelchairs is $100. All other terms & fees are as listed at the top of this page.
Stair Lifts
Curved Stair Lifts: Curved stair lifts are custom made products. The track is custom made to the curves of your stairs. As this is a custom made product, curved to your specifications, it is non-returnable. Once the track has been made, your order becomes non-refundable.
There are no returns on curved stair lifts, no exceptions.
- Cancellation Prior to Shipment:
- AmeriGlide has a substantial investment in resources and labor and as such we have a 25% cancellation fee for any order cancelled after the measurement survey but prior to submission for production.
- Refused Shipment Policy: There are no returns on curved stair lifts, no exceptions.
Straight Stair Lifts: Straight stair lifts are semi-custom made products. The track can often be reused; however there are several hours of labor expense involved in the preparation of a lift for the application. In addition, shipping of a stair lift is expensive.
AmeriGlide straight stair lifts may be returned within 5 business days of receipt for full refund less the following:
- Restocking Fee: All returned stair lifts shall incur a 15% restocking fee calculated from the gross selling price to cover the cost of handling and initial preparation of the unit.
- Initial Freight Charges: All returned stair lifts will be charged the outbound freight expense incurred by the company to ship the unit, which is $199.
- Return Shipping: Return shipping is the obligation of the customer.
- Cancellation Prior to Shipment: If your track has not been cut, you can cancel for a fee of $250.00 (per unit canceled).
- Refused Shipment Policy: If a stair lift is refused by the customer at the delivery address, the customer will be responsible for a minimum $700.00 fee to cover prep, handling, track, and freight charges.
Please contact Customer Service at 800-922-3659 to obtain an Return Authorization form prior to shipping the unit back. The Return Authorization will provide exact instructions on the return process.
Toilet Lift Returns: Toilet lifts cannot be returned as they make direct contact with a person's skin. Repairs are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Trailer Returns: Returns are not acepted on trailers.
Vertical Lift Returns: Vertical lifts are a custom made product and cannot be returned.
Vertical Lift Cancellations: If your vertical lift has not been built, you may cancel subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations are not accepted one the lift has been built.
Walk In Bathtub Returns: Walk in bathtubs cannot be returned as they make direct contact with a person's skin. Repairs are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Your use of this site shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the state of North Carolina, U.S.A., without regard to choice of law provisions, and not by the 1980 U.N. Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods. You agree that jurisdiction over and venue in any legal proceeding directly or indirectly arising out of or relating to this site (including but not limited to the purchase of products) shall be in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the site (including but not limited to the purchase of products) must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. Failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any of these terms and conditions. Medical Supplies 4 Less may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.
